writing inspiration - quotes

I was reading a blog the other day where the author mentioned she liked to find quotes that summarized her main character. (Please forgive me for forgetting which one. Nano has taken my brain and mashed it and then thrown it in the garbage disposal.) Ingenious, right?

So I set out to find one for mine, Costa. She's strong. She's a spy. So I thought this worked perfectly:

Then I started thinking, what quote would describe me best. Considering this month, and the writing frustrations I keep slamming into, this quote seemed perfect:

It seems the more I write and stress, the more problems I create. Do you do that too? Are you an over writer or an under writer?
So when I was about to pull out my hair, I came across this quote:

Frankly 50K words in one month is practically impossible. But maybe not.

Are you doing nano? If so, how's that going for you?
If not, what type of writer are you?

Your second quote made me laugh. So are you a worrier, Erin? I didn't peg you as one.

Love all the quotes! I'm doing Nano, and while I'm still above the goal (almost 30k at the moment), my momentum has slowed down (that's why I'm here--reading blogs instead of writing. Ha!)

Don't know what's wrong with my writing muse (look at that alliteration! My word.) I hate getting in a slump but! Since nothing is impossible, and I probably should stop overthinking it, I better go and write.

Good luck, good luck! <3

Oh, I love the quotes and I ADORE Audrey Hepburn. She was awesome! I try not to be a worrier. But, I am.

I have no idea if I'm an underwriter or overwriter. I think I need to book an appointment with my therapist to find out!

I underthink and don't write and then overthink and stress out about what I'm not doing. If that makes any sense. Probably not. Yep, definitely an underthinker. Loved all the quotes!

I love the idea of quotes, and those are some great ones. Where did you find them? I stress about writing, and then when I do write, I overwrite, but in all the wrong places. (Like writing lots of scenes that aren't going to be useful in the end.) I'm not doing Nano, and I have to give props to anyone who tries it. Good luck!

Hi Erin. You know I love quotes! These were all great. I'm NOT doing Nano. Never have and most likely never will. I "kind-of" understand the premise that it's to help motivate writers...but I think it's just nuts and probably causes many to just write plain, old junk...just to make the word count!
And what kind of writer am I? I write memoir, personal essays. I don't write everyday, except on my blog! I just have to be in the right mood.

Fun Fun quotes. Not doing Nano. Thank goodness. I would be a basketcase!

NaNo sucks! LOL Totally kidding. I gave up on day 3 to revise this month. :) It's going great! I finished my revisions last night and I'm ready to dive into edits again. We'll see how it goes. :)

Oh my gosh. Your quote for Costa is PERFECT. I heart it a million times.

It's NOT impossible!! :) Yes, I am way behind in my NaNo word goal, and in my revision. But I will not accept defeat until Nov. 30th at midnight! Ha!

Loved theses quotes! Thanks for sharing!!

Awesome quotes! Love it! Honestly, I feel like finishing this semester in school is going to be impossible - but I am trying so hard. I'd really be working on my WIP rather than writing term papers, but alas... I am not. Hang in there girl! You CAN do it!

I couldn't pick a favourite of those quotes. I'm going to add them to my list :-)
