Hero is on my list of favorite books in general. Blue Sword isn't even on my list of favorite fantasy books. Tor was my Edward. (and p.s., for most of my young adult life, I believed that I would name my daughter "Aerin." One of the most memorable (and reread) books I've had to read for school.

Robin McKinley's The Blue Sword and Hero and the Crown were the books that got me reading fantasy. I'll have to check out Lynn Kurland.

A must read to add to your list: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. It really is ground-breaking in fantasy. It's a big book, but well worth it. Beautiful writing, strong story, and a world I didn't want to leave. Very much looking forward to book two.feywriterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17224558691840388691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15384006.post-196097429198133332009-04-23T08:02:00.000-07:002009-04-23T08:02:00.000-07:00I definitely agree with you on number 10. I'm always looking for a good read and hesitate to purchase books unless they have been given a good review by someone I trust...and so I will be reading from this list this summer!! I can check 'finding good reads' off my to-do list! Thanks Erin!!Ipohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03823048459073039676noreply@blogger.com
